Authenticity and Actions

"If someone could ‘look over my shoulder’ and only see my actions and not hear my words, what would they say are my priorities?"

This was a recent quote I read by James Clear. And it got me thinking..!

How much time do we spend ‘top-spinning’ our results and progress?

How much time do we really spend at the ‘sharp-end’ of what we need to do, rather than the distracting admin, details or irrelevancies?

How much time do we spend deluding ourselves that we are the thing we want to be rather than the thing we are?

How much time do we allocate to excusing ourselves because of ‘imposter syndrome’ ‘FOMO’ and procrastination?

How authentic are we? Really…and truly??

Accountability is a vital part of resilience and I wonder whether we can all look in the mirror and be truly accountable for the time we spend and the impact we are making?

So, this shook me up and really made me wonder – perhaps that’s the value of a truly interesting quote…seeing it at the time you need to hear it?

What would people see if they looked over your shoulder?  What quotes have made an impact on your life?
