Most of us have felt worried or nervous about something at some point.  Usually, these feelings are short-term and disappear but feelings of anxiety can become difficult to cope with and start to affect daily life.

Anxiety can show itself in many ways.  Feelings can range from mild to severe and, the duration or intensity of feelings of anxiety can sometimes be out of proportion to the original issue. Physical symptoms, such as an increased heart rate, shortness of breath or shaking may become evident.

The causes of anxiety vary from individual to individual but emotions or experiences that can cause symptoms of anxiety or triggers to appear include:

·      Financial problems

·      Parties or social events

·      Public events or performances

Whatever the cause, anxiety is a difficult thing to live with. It can feel exhausting and take its toll on both mental and physical health.
