Meditation

Transcendental Meditation (an example of a particular method of meditation) is a way of meditating that uses mantras to influence positive mind states, stress reduction, and overall self-improvement. Introduced in the 1950s by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India, it has its roots in ancient Vedic practice and is usually practiced in 15-20 minutes sessions, several times per day. It can be learnt through attendance at a workshop or seminar to allow individual practice.
